Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ is running in its eighth week at the box office and the film is still maintaining its second-highest eighth-weekend collection after ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. The film will become the 10th highest grosser in a day or two as it hits ₹240 crores net. Currently, the film stands at a total of ₹239 crores.

Uri has collected ₹71.23 crores in the first week, ₹62.76 crores in the second week, and ₹36 crores approx in the third week, ₹29.30 in the fourth week, ₹18.74 in the fifth week, ₹11.58 crores in the sixth week, ₹6.66 crores in the seventh week and ₹35 lakhs on Friday, ₹75 lakhs on Saturday, and ₹1.15 crores on Sunday.

Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest figures and news around the film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ and He wrote, “#UriTheSurgicalStrike shows no signs of fatigue… Day-wise growth – even in Weekend 8 – says it all… Will cross *lifetime biz* of #Simmba on weekdays… [Week 8] Fri 37 lakhs, Sat 79 lakhs, Sun 1.16 cr. Total: ₹ 239.69 cr. India biz.”

Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky KaushalYami GautamMohit RainaParesh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.

The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
