Uri: The Surgical Strike‘ is running in its fifth week and it looks unstoppable, unbeatable, and unshakable at the box-office. The war-drama collected a hefty amount of ₹5.58 crores on its fifth Sunday at the box-office. After a 31-day long run at the box-office, the film has managed to collect a fantastic amount of ₹212.78 crores.

The film earned a total of ₹12.37 crores in its fifth weekend, which has beaten the record of highest fifth weekend grosser ‘Baahubali 2’ with ₹6.97 crores.

Trade Analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh, shared the box office numbers on his twitter handle. He wrote, ”#UriTheSurgicalStrike is unbeatable, unshakable and unstoppable… Sets a new record for Weekend 5… [Week 5] Fri 2.12 cr, Sat 4.67 cr, Sun 5.58 cr. Total: ₹ 212.78 cr. Uri will observe a steady run at the box-office in days to come, at least till February 14, when Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’ will hit the screens. Film Pandits have expected the film to reach the ₹220 crore mark in its lifetime collection.

Aditya Dhar directorial has been financed by Ronnie Screwvala and it stars Vicky KaushalYami GautamMohit RainaParesh Rawal, and Kirti Kulhari.

The film is based on the surgical strike carried out on September 29, 2016, by the Indian Army in answer to the Uri terror attack which killed 19 unarmed army men. The strike destroyed several terrorist launch pads across the Line of Control and killed around 50 terrorists.
