Vicky Kaushal‘s latest military drama ‘Uri’ helmed and written by Aditya Dhar has minted a good amount of ₹8.20 crore on its first at the box office. Uri: The Surgical Strike is an Indian action film based on the fictional 2016 Indian Army’s surgical strikes on Pakistan Administered Kashmir as a retaliation for the Uri attack.
Aditya Dhar’s war drama incorporates all the ingredients of a masala entertainer. Where Vicky Kaushal plays a Para (Special Forces) Commando. ‘Uri’ is receiving some competition from The Accidental Prime Minister but still has earned a good amount of ₹8.20 crore on its opening day.
‘Uri’ is an action film unlike Baagi 2, this one is more multiplex driven and we will have to see whether ‘Uri’ will have a good run after the weekend as a concept film or not.
According to movie critic and biz analyst, Taran Adarsh Uri: The Surgical Strike marks a good start to 2019 India biz.
