The stardom of South Stars is more than we could ever imagine, fans are too much obsessed with their favourite stars, they eagerly wait for their film’s release which is why I feel that they deserve good content and it’s obviously the right of every viewer. Each of the stars in the south industry has a huge fan base and one of them is Nani who is known for his works primarily in Telugu Cinema. Nani’s 25th film and also his debut on OTT, ‘V’ released today on Amazon Prime Video. There have been a lot of hype all across the web regarding the movie but was it worth it? Let’s find out.

The story of ‘V’ follows DCP Aditya (Sudheer Babu) who is a super cop renowned for his great work in the police force and on the other end we have a killer (Nani) believed to be a psychopath who puts across a challenge to the DCP to nab him before he finishes killing four persons. The killer leaves behind a lot of clues and hints as if he urges the DCP to solve this puzzle who later sets on a mission to solve the mystery with the help of his girlfriend Apoorva (Nivetha), a crime novelist. And rest of the films unfolds with the reasons for these murders.

A still from V

The film has nothing new to offer it paces as an average revenge story and is not filled with more surprising elements. The major highlights of the film are Nani and Sudheer Babu’s performance. Sudheer gets equal footage as that of Nani which is one of the positive points of the film which restricts from overshadowing of characters. While watching ‘V’ you will recall all the Masala action films you have watched. In such thrillers, the protagonist’s past plays a major role but V fails to do so and hence fails to deliver a strong story.

‘V’ begins as an engaging story but then the story falls down and literally feels boring and typical. Director Indraganti starts off well but fails to write a stronger motive and conclude the story. Hence, ‘V’ becomes unworthy of the hype it created.
