Earlier, when we have reported that actress Deepika Padukone who has been considered for the role of the protagonist. Producer Dinesh Vijan has denied all such reports of Deepika Padukone being the lead in ‘Badlapur 2‘. He also stated there will be no female lead in the movie.
Varun Dhawan, who played the lead in ‘Badlapur’ gave an outstanding performance and was praised by the critics for this dark and twisty role. Filmmakers are planning to get him back in the sequel of ‘Badlapur’ However, nothing has been confirmed yet because Dinesh, is currently busy with his upcoming release ‘Raabta’ which also marks his directorial debut said that there is no female lead and the casting of the film is yet to be finalised. Acoording to the sources actor Varun Dhawan has signed Dinesh’s ‘Badlapur’ sequel.
However, no official statement has been made by the actor Varun Dhawan nor by the producer Dinesh Vijan but one thing is confirmed that Deepika Padukone will not be playing the lead in ‘Badlapur 2’.
