Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam has passes away after being on life support for over a month. His condition worsened earlier today and he breathed his last at 1:04PM.

The news was confirmed by his son and a MGM Healthcare’s bulletin followed soon.

In August, the singer has contracted COVID-19, but at that time, he had posted a video of himself on Facebook, telling fans that he is ‘fine’. As the days passed, his health became worse. On August 13, he was moved to an ICU, after his oxygen saturation level dipped.

There has not been a day since then when he has not been under life support. Though, he underwent physiotherapy and plasma therapy, when signs of his improving health came.

His son, SP Charan had kept informing everyone, about his father’s health, constantly updating videos on social media. On September 19, he had revealed that his father is stable now, and has begun oral intake of food.

Back then, he had said, “That should help him grow stronger and take care of other vitals as well.”

Even when he was on a ventilator and ECMO, he had been stable and continued responding to the doctors. It is only now, that news has come, of his demise.

A tough period is looming large on him and his family. Our best wishes and prayers are with the singer, in this trying phase of his life.
