Theatre, films have their own thrill: Vicky Kaushal!

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal says that the theatre and movie have their own thrill. Vicky has been shooting back to back for his upcoming project and now he is happy because of he able to get refreshed with a unique play which was being staged yesterday.

Vicky says that doing acting for the theater production has a thrill unique rather than from facing the camera. However, he feels that both the platforms have their own thrill and fun. He believes that as far as theater is concerned then it is purely an actor’s medium. While the director may direct an act in a certain way and that is what actors perform’s only that audience sees.

Vicky feels that if the act goes wrong even then it is an actor’s responsibility to salvage the act. However, he believes that movies are directors medium and it can be molded in the way how the director wants. Currently, he is essaying the role in the show titled ’36 Ghante’, which a unique show and he says that he came to know about the play, director, writer and about his co-actors just 12 hours before he was staged.

Vicky rose the popularity with this show because this show has a unique concept and it is not very time-consuming. However, he has even appeared in the movies like ‘Masaan’, and Raman Raghav 2.0′. The show was initiated by the Rage Productions and this show has also been the fundraiser for the theater and all the money which the makers will get from the sale of tickets are to be given to those who work behind the scenes. In this way, they could able to help them a lot and even Vicky is making a little contribution.

On the work front, Vicky is gearing up for his upcoming movie titled ‘Raazi’ which will be directed by Meghna Gulzar and co-produced by Karan Johar. The shooting for the movie has already started. The movie ‘Raazi’ will feature Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The movie will be based on the story of a Kashmiri girl and she marries a Pakistani officer (played by Vicky Kaushal) and then he spies for the Indian Intelligence. However, the movie is said to be based on the Harinder Sikka’s novel ‘Calling Sehmat’, and the movie will be shot in Punjab, Kashmir, and Mumbai.

Vicky says when being a theater actor when you perform in from of the audience and that thing will make you more aware of your instincts. He believes that this will really help in becoming a better actor in Hindi cinema, but he feels that the Hindi cinema has its own challenge. Moreover, he says that there are times when the makers place the camera so close to the actors that the audience able to see every moment and emotion very closely. So in this way, he believes that both the mediums have their own thrill.
