Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is currently gearing up for her upcoming comedy drama movie ‘Tumhari Sulu. The movie which is directed by Suresh Triveni and produced by Bhushan Kumar under the banners of T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment. The movie features Vidya Balan in the role of a late night Radio jockey in Mumbai, Manav Kaul as Vidya Balan’s husband and actress Neha Dhupia as Vidya’s Boss.
On Saturday, during the trailer launch of her upcoming movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’, Vidya says that she has given her 200 per-cent for her upcoming movie and she feels that this is one of the best scripts that came across to her after a long time. She says that it’s an exceptional experience to work along with the director Suresh Triveni. From the day when the director narrated her the whole script, she says that it was one of the best scripts that she has heard in the longest time. However, during filming, there are a lot of changes the makers of the movie did in the movie which was needed.
The makers thought that they can make the movie better so everyone related to the movie gave their 200 per-cent from their heart just to make the movie a hit. Vidya says that at times it was very tiring, but at the end, there was an immense satisfaction. Actress Vidya Balan is very well known for her hard-hitting and immense roles but in her upcoming movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’, she will be seen in a totally different look. She will look in a funny and a full of life avatar, which is amazing according to her.
Vidya says that she definitely knows that she has not had fun on the screen for a while and with her upcoming movie she is playing very intense and heavy characters after a long time. She got to play this character who is always smiling, laughing and always try to make other people laugh. She thinks that it is very precious to make people smile and laugh and if the movie is doing that then they are doing a great job. She was definitely missing that in her life.
Vidya is one of the board members of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and she says that she is happy playing a new role. She says that she is enjoying being a board member because there are a lot of people do not know what it means to be a board member. She believes that they do not have time to watch all the movies, only when there is a problem so then they have to see the movie. So she has seen few of the movies and that is a good news.
Talking about her upcoming movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ which is based on the life of the middle-class woman. She takes up the job as a late night Radio Jockey. However, Vidya says that the movie is a hilarious with its depiction of the lighter and funny undertones of life. She also admitted to her it was a requirement not to laugh on the set and she says that was a big challenge for her because whenever she started to laugh then it is very difficult to control herself. There are many situations in the movie which are very funny and she controlled herself from laughing and that is a busy challenge for her.
The movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ is all set to release on November 17, 2017.
