National Award Winner actress Vidya Balan has signed a new film after her last hit Tumhari Sulu. It is comedy-drama film directed by Suresh Triveni and produced under the banners of T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment.

And now, a report in a leading daily claims that the actress has learnt to play the harmonium for her role in the film. Composer Nitin Shankar, who trained Vidya to master the instrument spoke to the leading daily regarding the same. He said, “Her character plays the harmonium in two songs in the film and Vidya wanted to make it look convincing onscreen. I have known her family for a while now as they are all interested in music, so they reached out to me.” He added saying, “ She plans to buy a harmonium. She also sings well. When I asked about her favourite song, she picked “Beeti Na Bitai Raina” from Parichay which reflects her knowledge of music.”

Her new project is NTR’s biopic. N.T.R. will be in Telugu-Hindi bilingual biographical film, based on the life of actor N. T. Rama Rao, produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha and Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, and Vibri Media banners and directed by Krish. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in his father’s role, Vidya Balan will play the female lead i.e NTR’s wife.

Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (28 May 1923 – 18 January 1996), popularly known as NTR, was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms.
