Vidya Balan’s upcoming short film ‘Natkhat’ will see her in a new role. The actor besides acting in it will also be producing it. This will be her first attempt at producing films. Directed by Shaan Vyas, Ronnie screwvala will co-produce the film with Vidya.
The actor took to twitter to share the first image of the short film. Vidya tweeted

Fans immediately got excited to see the film and applauded Vidya for her new role as a producer. Industry colleagues Dia Mirza, Ekta Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari also blessed the actor and prayed for the film’s success. Vidya had announced her venturing into production via Instagram last year in July 2019.
On her Instagram she had posted a clapperboard’s photo to announce her new role as a producer.

The actor on being asked about what led her to produce the short film said “It is a beautiful and powerful story, which impressed me so much that I decided to act in it as well as make this film.”
Vidya will be next seen in her upcoming film Shakuntala Devi, directed by Anu Menon and also starring Amith Sadh And Sanya Malhotra in significant roles. Skipping theatres due to the Coronavirus pandmeic, the film will directly stream on Amazon Prime.
