The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli tops the list of most valued celebrities in India for the second time followed by Indian Actress Deepika Padukone. This is the result of the continuous rise in their popularity in the recent past years.
According to the Fourth Edition of the report given by Duff and Phelps, the global valuation and corporate finance advisors reports, there is an 18% increase in the brand value of Virat Kohli which is worth $170.9 million. The star cricketer is being followed by Deepika Padukone with a brand value of worth $102.5 million.
Virat had endorsed 24 brands whereas Deepika had endorsed 21 brands since November 2018. Both the endorsers Virat and Deepika have been structuring endorsement deals with equity elements, which helps them in maintaining a long term association with the brand and share the profits from the progress of the company.
Virat and Deepika are followed by Akshay Kumar in the third and Ranveer Singh in the fourth palace, with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Hrithik Roshan complete the top 10 list.
Virat and Anushka together endorsed 40 different brands in recent past. The coming together of a power couple creates a larger platform for the brands to open ways for the target youth.
