The new wave we are witnessing in the Indian Cinema is either because of the regional filmmakers or by the independent filmmakers who are dedicated completely to this art and converse with the masses through their interesting stories. And their films are reaching out to the audience worldwide, and are breaking the chains of world cinema and art.
And one such filmmaker is Anand Gandhi, after delivering the best of Indian Films like Ship Of Theseus and Tumbbad, Gandhi’s next project will definitely excite you even more. The film titled ‘Emergence’ is based on the pandemic world which has affected the psychology of human beings and a team of four scientists is on a mission to save humanity. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?
The filmmaker was researching and discussing with the experts for his story since 2015 and now has made a few changes considering the current pandemic. Also, an interesting part is that the film was firstly planned with Irrfan Khan and we would have loved seeing him play the lead of this sci-fi film. But after his unfortunate demise, Gandhi approached Sushant Singh Rajput and the rest is history.
We would have definitely loved seeing either Irrfan or Sushant being the part of this interesting sci-fi flick, Now it remains to be seen who will replace Sushant now. The film is scheduled to be released post three years.
