Hollywood actor Shelley Morrison has passed away at the age of 83 due to heart failure. Her husband, Walter Dominguez, shared a statement about his wife’s passing. “[Shelley] passed in Los Angeles this morning at 5:42 am at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from heart failure, after a brief illness. Shelley had recently celebrated her 83rd birthday.”
The actor was mostly known for her role as maid Rosario Salazar on the sitcom television series Will & Grace. Morrison was initially supposed to appear in the NBC show’s original run for one episode, but her acting skills made the creators to extend the role. She starred in more than 60 episodes in its initial eight season run.
Sean Hayes, who played Jack McFarland in Will & Grace, shared his condolences about his former co-star in an Instagram post.
He wrote: “Such sad news. Our beloved Shelley Morrison passed away today. She was absolutely hilarious and had the biggest heart. She was a part of our Will and Grace family and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her entire family.”

Scott Icenogle, who has composed music for Will & Grace, offered his condolences on Twitter. “So sad to hear of this news. Shelley Morrison was a beloved member of the Will & Grace family. She will be sorely missed.”

Actor Debra Messing who played Grace Adler in the show also honored the 83-year-old actor’s death with an Instagram post.
“Oh, Shelley… what a loss. Our dear Rosario has passed on. Shelley had a career that spanned decades, but she will always be our dear Rosie. She was a kind soul with a huge heart and always had a smile on her face. All my love to Walter and the entire family. #shelleymorrison.”

Shelly Morrison had also appeared in several films like Troop Beverly Hills, Fools Rush In and Foodfight! Morrison was survived by her husband and adopted children.
