Hollywood actor-producer-rapper, Will Smith is impressed with Ranveer Singh‘s performance as a street rapper Murad in the recently released film ‘Gully Boy‘. Taking to his Instagram story, Will Smith shared a video where he can be seen praising the Bollywood actor in the Zoya Akhtar directorial.

In the video, Will says, “Hey Ranveer, congrats man! I am loving what you are doing with ‘Gully Boy’. For me, old school hip hop here seeing hip hop all over the world like that I am loving it, man, congrats Go Get em!”

The lead actress, Alia Bhatt, and Zoya reshared the video on their social media handles. “I love Will Smith”, wrote Zoya as she reshared it.

Last year, Will Smith visited India, where Singh and Smith shared some great time together on the sets of Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year 2’ for the shoot of a special song. ‘Gully Boy’ has collected ₹18.70 crores on its release day and is being appreciated by audience and critics.

In an interview with a leading publication, Ranveer Singh said, “I have been listening to hip-hop ever since I was a kid. I have seen the entire evolution of rap in India from Baba Sehgal and Devang Patel to now Divine, Naezy and Bantai. But I got really hooked when Zoya came to me with this film. She called me to her place and showed me first the video of “Mere Gully Mein” and my mind was blown away. It is so authentic. These guys are real Bombay boys, street guys rapping in Bambaia. It was bursting with street flavor. I was hooked instantly and now listen to only that.”
