The upcoming episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins as Kartik is preparing to surprise Naira. Manish, and others tease him, but they’re glad that he’s trying to appease Naira. Kartik waits with the surprise at the gate, but instead of Naira, he meets Vedika. Naira appears behind her, and Vedika apologizes for ruining the surprise. Kartik and Naira share a romantic moment. Vedika watches from a corner and is disturbed. Later, the two families decide the songs for sangeet. Then, its decided there will be a competition between Goenka’s and Singhanias. The practice begins.
Suhasini brings Naira’s wedding dress. Naira is overwhelmed with emotions, because she feels her mother’s presence in the clothes. Vedika is upset to see everyone showering Naira with love.
Kairav and Laksh decide to go skating. Suhasini suddenly notices that Naira’s wedding dress has caught on fire. Vedika tries to put out the flames but the damage is done. Naira is devastated. Suhasini believes this is an ill omen and isn’t convinced that Vedika didn’t do this intentionally. Kairav and Laksh take the blame for the damage because of their carelessness while they were playing.
Kartik tries to comfort Naira, but she says her mother’s blessings are with her, and that’s what matters to her most.
Vedika watches as Kairav falls from a chair. But he’s unharmed. In the evening, Naira is getting dressed for the Sangeet ceremony. Vedika comes running to her and says there was a call from dance academy. There has been a fight at the academy. Naira agrees to go with Vedika.
