The 25th James Bond film is going to be special for a lot of reasons. Among the reasons, one is that it is going to be Daniel Craig’s last film as James Bond while the other exciting reason is that Oscar-Winner, Rami Malek is playing the role of a villain in the film.

In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Malek talked about the film and his character. No one in their right mind would say no to a role in a Bond film. Rami Malek backed this as he said –

“Look, there was no way I was going to say no. It’s a 007 film, man. They’re a part of our cinematic history.”

Titled No Time To Die, in the film Rami Malek plays the role of the villain Safin. When talking about his character he shared –

“We really did sit down and think about what would truly frighten us, what would send a real panic into our hearts. It’s that sense of dread that sets it apart.”

The entire fan base of the James Bond film franchise is abuzz with rumors as to how Daniel Craig’s Bond will end his run. They have intensified more after the release of the film’s trailer but no one from the film has addressed them. Even Rami Malek kept mum about this but revealed that the audience will be left ‘shocked’ with the film.

Further elaborating on this he said,  “Let the rumors fly because no matter what you expect from this movie, you will be shocked when you watch the film. I will not add any fuel to that fire.”

James Bond himself I.e. Daniel Craig praised Rami Malek in the interview with GQ, saying :

“He understands he’s playing a Bond villain – what that means, what it means historically and the kind of Bond villains that have come before. Rami’s really good at his job. I mean, that’s an understatement.”

On the other hand even the co-writer of the film, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was in awe of Rami and full of praises for him. She went on to say :

“Not many actors can revel so gloriously in being creepy while maintaining a sort of wonky humanity.”

Further, she added,

“I think the best villains dare to have a tease of something soft in their eye and Rami knows exactly how to do that.”

Daniel Craig’s last Bond film, No Time To Die is coming out on April 2, 2021.
