The Indian Youtuber and television host Sahil Khattar has been roped in to play Syed Kirmani in Ranveer Singh‘s starrer ’83. Recently, the film made headlines when Tamil actor Jiiva joined the cast to play the role of the former cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth.
The film is to go on floors within a month and the makers are busy in unveiling the star cast of ’83. Sahil will essay the role of Kirmani, a famous wicket-keeper who played for the Indian cricket team. Kirmani was awarded the best wicketkeeper for his iconic performance at the 1983 World Cup.
The makers of the film took to social media to make an official announcement that said, ” YouTube star @issahilkhattar is a part of ’83 and he will be playing none other than #SyedKirmani in the film. #CastOf83″

In 2017 Kabir Khan announced the big project, but the shooting of the film got delayed and hence, the makers had to change the release date from April 19, 2019, to April 10, 2020.
Kabir Khan had earlier explained his reasons for making the film. “As a young schoolboy, when I watched India win the 1983 Cricket World Cup, I had no idea that from that day onwards, cricket in India will change forever. As a filmmaker, for me, the journey to that win, filled with raw energy and sheer passion of that young Indian team, is probably one of the most exciting stories I have worked on. And it’s great to have Ranveer come on board to play Kapil Dev, as honestly, I could see no one else for the role, ever since I started finalizing the script.”
