Innocent and cute looking Saqib Saleem will be seen in a gangster avatar in ZEE5 original series ‘Rangbaaz’. The crime thriller series will be released on ZEE5 on December 22.
The series is based on true events and is set against the rustic background of the Gorakhpur of the ’90s with hues of crime, bloodlust, and dirty politics. Saqib Saleem has left his sweetness far behind and had worked hard for the angry-young-man look for the series. His Gorakhpuri accent is something he has worked very hard on.
The story revolves around a boy named Shiv Pratap Shukla, who starts as a goon and slowly becomes national level criminal, at the age of 25, “90 ke Dashak ka sabse bada Gangster” (Biggest gangster of ’90s)
Saqib has evolved as a good actor with time and this series would become the turning point of his career. And even with a rogue expression, the innocence on his face can still be seen.
