The underperformance of Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Zero‘ still continues over its first weekend. The film’s total collection over the weekend was Rs 59.07 crores across the country.

According to the biz and trade analyst Taran Adarsh’s tweet, “#Zero has clearly underperformed… Remained on similar levels over the weekend… No turnaround / big jump in biz… holiday [tomorrow] should boost biz… Real test on Wed and Thu… Fri 20.14 cr, Sat 18.22 cr, Sun 20.71 cr. Total: ₹ 59.07 cr. India biz.”

The film was immensely promoted for a whole month. SRK and the filmmakers left no stone unturned to keep the buzz alive for as long as possible. As a part of the promotion, each song was released after a huge announcement. Many Bollywood biggies, including Late female superstar Sridevi, made a special appearance, to make it Farah Khan’s ‘Om Shanti Om’, but nothing could do the charm. The film was released on 4,380 screens, still, it failed to make a strong impact on the audience and at the Box Office.

The romantic drama opened to mixed reviews from audience and critics. Aanand L. Rai’s directorial also stars, Zeeshan Ayyub and Tigmanshu Dhulia. The film features Shah Rukh as a vertically challenged bachelor, Anushka Sharma, as a scientist Afia Yousufzai, who suffers from cerebral palsy and Katrina Kaif as a heartbroken alcoholic actor Babita Kumari.
