Zoya Akhtar on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Sequel : waiting for a good script

Zoya Akhtar‘s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is still one of her finest piece of work and has remained fans favorite, even after seven years of its release. The story of the film is simple and sweet, about three friends who have been inseparable since their school days. One of them decides to get married and plans a Bachelors trip to Spain with his friends. Meanwhile, they overcome the problems to rediscover themselves.

ZNMD was refreshing and therapeutic in many ways as it refreshes you with its picturesque locations and light-hearted humor. It was kind of a movie which will make you appreciate small things in life. Recently, Zoya in an interview revealed that she wants to make a sequel.

“I am dying to work with Hrithik Roshan. I am really keen to work with him again so planning to make a sequel to ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. However, I will start working on this project only when I get a good script. Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kalki Koechlin, and Hrithik Roshan, all four guys are very special to me. I really share a good bonding with them so I can’t even think of making a sequel just for the sake of money,” she told a news channel, reported News18.

Zoya added that she started her career with Hrithik and Farhan and she was looking forward to working with them.

Currently, her musical drama, ‘Gully Boy‘ is all set to burst many charts on the box office, as it is highly appreciated by critics and audiences. The film is based on real-life personalities of Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy known for their song “Mere Gully Mein” in Mumbai. The film explores the journey of a rapper who comes across his love and passion for rapping and then starts chasing his dream.

Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Kalki Koechlin starrer ‘Gully Boy’ had its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival and received a super positive response from the critics and audience.
