According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) data on Wednesday at Delhi‘s Lodhi Road area was recorded in ‘poor’ category. Major pollutants PM 2.5 is at 273 (poor category) and PM 10 at 266 (poor category). The city woke up to a hazy and misty morning but smog still engulfed the city.

The worst AQI was recorded in Anand Vihar at 447 in ‘Hazardous’ category. And the best AQI in the capital was recorded at Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences in east Delhi at 216.

On Tuesday, the overall air quality of Delhi was in’very poor’ category at various places. Delhi witnessed a thick blanket of smog and dust on Tuesday. According to SAFAR, the overall air quality of the capital was docked at 333.

News agency ANI reported  Sulfur Oxides, dust and soot are a growing threat to the health of lakhs of people residing in and around Delhi. The AQI at Lodhi road, the AQI (Air Quality Index) was 315 with PM (Particulate Matter) 2.5 at 9:15 am. Meanwhile, ANI reported in the Wazirpur area, the air quality also dipped to the severe category with 400.
