Mother Earth is a brand of domestic retail chain stores starting with 7000 sq ft flagship store in Bangalore. It is a social brand that offers consumers the best of the Indian natural hand crafted products, while simultaneously providing livelihoods to the rural artisans and labourers of India. Urban yoga and Mother Earth in association with Trees for Free undertook an initiative to make Bangalore run for healthy environment. Several Bangaloreans geared up for a 10km run on account of recognizing World Environment Day at the Mother Earth, Domlur store at around 6.00 AM.

The run was flagged off from the Mother Earth store to the Sony World signal at Koramangala and concluded with the participants doubling back and finishing at the store. The scintillating breeze, motley of colors dabbing the morning sky and the exuberance of Bangaloreans,  all of this garnished with the flavor of a sacred intent. The event witnessed participation of several Bangaloreans cutting across ages, from Children to elderly as all of them gathered to contribute their bit in saving the environment and spreading the message.

Last year, the initiative resulted in planting of about 250 fruit trees by our Bangaloreans, which are now being nourished by the farmers in rural Bangalore. Run for trees is a noble initiative by Urban Yoga and Mother Earth.
