IT’S HYDERABAD CALLING!!

The City of Pearls-Hyderabad, a hi-tech cosmopolis has a lot to offer right from its mighty software dynasty to it archaeological heritage sites and mouth watering ‘Hyderabadi-dum biriyani’. And when it comes to FOOD this city is a divine abode for one to venture out and gobble up a large variety of delicacies.

This article lists out five best places for street food in Hyderabad which have made their mark serving some appetizing food.

1.SINDHI COLONY

Sindhi colony is ‘the’ place to be if you have cravings for some lip smacking street food. You will find a number of ‘chaat bhandhars’ serving you a variety of street food like vada pav, dabeli, aloo toast, cheese toast, variants of dosas like pizza dosa, bhurji dosa, and lots more. Also you can find kati rolls, ice golas and authentic Kulfi places to drop in. The budget is totally pocket friendly and the food is worth all your money! Most of these food joints open only in the evenings post 4:30 pm. Hit the streets to treat your taste buds to some delightful dishes.

2.RAM KI BANDI

Who knew Ram could mint money just by making dosas on a food cart?!

‘Ram ki bandi’ is one incredible place you MUST visit. Located just opposite to the famous Karachi Bakery in Nampally, this food cart starts business around 4:00 am in the morning and wraps up by 8:00 am(even earlier if the food stocks are exhausted). He specializes in making dosas and butter idlis. Unlike the conventional dosas, the dosas at ‘Ram ki Bandi’ have a very unique taste which will leave you salivating for more. He cooks varieties of dosas like upma dosa, cheese dosa, butter dosa, paneer dosa, masala dosa. The creamy chutney and the finger licking good sambhar are just a class apart. Dosas are priced around an affordable 60-80 bucks. This place is definitely worth a visit for some midnight munching!

3.PIZZA DEN

Pizza den is a small shop located near paradise circle dishing out some piping hot homemade pizzas loaded with cheese. A wide variety of pizzas can be found on the menu card with a unique taste of their own, differentiating it from the other pizzerias. It also offers some delicious softies and ice cream sundaes. Food at this place is quite economical. You can find people from their early teens to late fifties thronging the place through the night. Since it’s always crowded, a take away is a better option. It is open on all days between 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm. Drop in at Pizza den to pacify the gluttonous monster in you.

4.BALVANT PAV BHAJI CENTRE

An all exclusive pav bhaji place, Balvant Pav Bhaji Centre serves spicy bhajis with seasoned butter roasted pav cut into cubes. Tucked away in a silent lane near Ramgopalpet police station, this place doesn’t offer much for ambiance although the service is good. It is overcrowded during the weekends and people keep coming back for more. The place is clean and hygienic and the food is a good value for money. This unassuming pav bhaji centre could give the “Pav Bhaji wallahs” in Chowpati-Mumbai a run for their money.
