Amazon Echo Link Amp

Amazon has acquired the first place in India in terms of smart speaker shipment with 59 percent of overall share in 2018, IDC reports. The company has made available a vast variety of products in India in the past few years, including Echo Dot that has the ability to plug into existing speakers.

Now, Amazon is looking forward to expanding its portfolio with the launch of Amazon Echo Link and Echo Link Amp soon. MySmartPrice reports that Amazon is likely to launch the two devices as soon as the first week of April. The report also adds that the smart product might come with a price tag above ₹15,000.

Amazon Echo Link and Echo Link Amp was launched in the U.S September last year. The Echo Link is encased in a black box with minimal design and features a volume knob at the front and audio inputs and outputs on the back. In order for Link to work, users need to connect their devices with it first and then connect Link with a speaker through its audio output socket. The Echo Link comes integrated with Amazon Alexa voice assistant given users have a compatible Alexa device, for instance, Echo Dot. The link comes with subwoofer RCA, coaxical, optical, 3.5 mm audio jack and RJ45 Ethernet port. However, it does not support casting via Bluetooth.

Additionally, the report also added that Amazon might also launch the Link Amp. The Echo Link Amp features a similar design to the Echo Link, however, it is bigger in size comes with additional features. It is a part of Amazon’s expanded multiroom system features a built-in 60 W two-channel amplifier with digital and analog inputs, outputs. It features subwoofer outputs and measures 8.5 x 9.5 x 3.4 inches. Both Echo Link and Link Amp lack a built-in microphone. As far as the price is concerned, the Echo Link Amp could come with a price tag of around ₹20,000.
