Apple has recently introduced the A14 Bionic chipset. It will mostly power the next-generation iPhones. The chip will be powerful and efficient than its predecessors. A Geekbench listing said that the chip would be more powerful than the next-gen chips of Qualcomm and Samsung.

Apple A14 has scored 1583 points at the single-core test according to the Geekbench listing. The chip scored 4198 on the multi-core test. The chip has been sourced from the most recent iPad.

The score of Apple A14 is 18% higher than A13 which runs on Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro. GSMArena said that A14 is way ahead of the rumoured Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 1000 processors that scored 1159 points on single-core tests.

The multi-score of Apple A14 is 20% better than its predecessor. On the other hand, Snapdragon 875 and Exynos 1000 have scored 4090 and 4250 points on multi-core tests.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 will power a variety of premium Android phones in 2021. The Exynos 1000 might debut with the Galaxy S21 series of Samsung.

Apple A14 chip has promised a 16% bump in performance compared to A13. There will be 40% improvements in CPU and 30% boost in graphics. The A14 has next-generation 16-core Neural Engine which provides 11 trillion operations per second – almost twice than A12 and 83% more than A13.

The A14 is built on 5nm process and comes with six-core GPU and a quad-core GPU. Similar improvements might be seen in the performance of iPhone 12 series.
