Apple’s A14 Bionic chipset has been spotted on the Antutu. Antutu is a benchmarking site.
The Apple A14 Bionic is supposed to be the fastest chip made by Apple. It is built on the 5nm tech and it is one of its kind. Apple has squeezed in 11.8 billion transistors into the chipset. This according to Apple, should help it deliver a 40 per cent improvement in general performance and 30 per cent graphics performance over the A13 Bionic.
Apple announced the iPad Air 4, it does have this A14 Bionic chip in it. There has been a lot of hype generated around the A14 Bionic chip. It has been spotted on the benchmarking site Antutu. And according to some reports, the score achieved by the chipset is 572,333 which is much lower than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus-powered Asus ROG Phone 3’s 629,245. In fact, it is also less than The regular Snapdragon 865 running on the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra.
Well if this turns out to be true, Android and Snapdragon fans would have a good laugh over Apple fans i guess. The upcoming iPhone 12 Pro Max will have this chipset inside it. So a lot depends on how it performs against the best of Snapdragon processors. And by seeing the current reports, it feels like it is way behind them.
The A14 Bionic has indeed made a lot of progress compared to its predecessor, the A13. It has double the number of neural engines and more number of transistors too. It’s all news and questions and rumors for now. All these questions should be answered soon as the iPhone 12 is expected to be launched in the coming weeks.
