Asus launched its powerful phone Asus ROG 2 in an event today in China. It will be the world’s fastest smartphone with snapdragon 855 Plus. The smartphone is expected to go on for sale from early September globally. The price of the device starts at $899 which is approximately RS 62,000. The phone will come in six variants, four of which are available now for pre-orders on chinese website JD.com.
The Phone gets an 6.59-inch FHD+ amoled screen with resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The model also supports an in-display fingerprint sensor and 10-bit HDR support. The panel on the phone gets a 120Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response rate and a impressive touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. It also have a massive 6,000 mAh battery and offers 30W fast-charging support with ROG HyperCharge. The model allow users to switch game focused ROG UI to Android UI.
The dual camera setup is similar to Asus 6, on the front it provide 24 MP camera and on the back is 48 MP Quad Bayer primary camera. The phone also features dual front speakers with DTS:X Ultra support with incorporated 3.5 mm jack.
For gaming, Armoury Crate game launcher on the phone allows users to customize game settings according to own preference. Game Genie helps to minimize popping up incoming call, notification and lock brightness while gaming. The second side mounted USB-C port makes its easy to charge the device while playing.
The major highlight of the model, the new AirTriggers for stimulating buttons can easily recognize swiping gesture. The device set come packed with AeroActive cooler to lower surface temperature of the phone. Other accessories includes the wireless ROG Kunai Gamepad attachable on either side of the phone.
