Asus announced two new laptops in the ROG Zephyrus line-up- ROG Zephyrus S17 and ROG Zephyrus m16 at a virtual event titled “For Those Who Dare”. Both the laptops are powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel H-series processors and 165Hz fast refresh rate displays.
Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 Specifications
ROS Zephyrus S17 is powered by the latest 11th-Generation Intel Core i9-11900H processor that is capable of up to 90W power in short bursts, coupled with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 GPU that can reach a peak boost of 140W. The CPU is backed by up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The laptop runs on Windows 10 OS.
Coming to the display, the laptop sports a 17.3-inch Quad-HD DDS panel with a 165Hz fast refresh rate. The gaming laptop comes with a rising optical-mechanical keyboard. The AAS (Active Aerodynamic System) lifts the keyboard by 5-degree to allow the new Arc Flow Fans to pull cool air into the laptop for thermal management.
The laptop packs a 90WHr battery with fast charging support. Asus claims that the laptop can be charged up to 50-percent in just 30 minutes. It can also be charged via a USB Type-C port up to 100W. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, two USB Type-C ports, 3 USB Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm mic jack combo, SD reader, and a LAN RJ-45 jack are on offer. It weighs about 2.6kg.
Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 Specifications
Asus has also announced the ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming laptop. It is powered by the latest 11th-Generation Intel Core i9-11900H CPU, paired with either GeForce RTX 3070 GPU or GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. The CPU is backed by up to 48GB of RAM and up to 2TB SSD storage. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Pro OS.
As far as the display is concerned, it features a 16-inch Wide-Quad-HD display housed in an ultra-slim 15-inch chassis with a 165Hz fast refresh rate. The display has a latency of 3ms, 100-percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, an aspect ratio of 16:10, and Dolby Vision support. It comes with a stealth-type keyboard with single-zone RGB or white backlight and a 720p HD webcam.
The laptop carries a 90WHr battery with fast charging support that can charge the laptop up to 50-percent under 30 minutes. For heat management, Asus offers ROG Intelligent cooling. It ships with Dolby Atmos-certified six-speaker system with dual force-canceling speakers for improved quality and 3D mic-array with AI noise cancellation technology.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, one Thunderbolt 4 port, one USB Type C port, two USB Type-A ports, MicroSD slot, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm combo jack, Keningston lock, and an RJ45 jack. It weighs 1.9kg.
The price and availability of the laptops are yet to be revealed by Asus. The pricing is expected to vary depending on the region. Indian availability of laptops is highly doubted.
