Asus Zenfone 6 render

Asus Zenfone 6 is slated to be revealed on May 16 and ahead of the launch, the smartphone has been spotted on Federal Communication Commissions (FCC) website. The Zenfone 6 has received FCC certificate and according to the listing, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and would come with dual SIM slots and dual rear-mounted cameras. The renders of the Zenfone 6 were also leaked earlier and by the looks of renders, it seems at least one variant of the Zenfone 6 would sport dual slider design with the bottom slide out revealing front-facing speakers or camera controls.

Now, the Asus Zenfone 6 has been spotted on the Federal Communication Commissions website and one of the documents lists the smartphone to have SM8150 baseband processor, which is none other than Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. There is also a schematic of the smartphone shared along with other hardware information. According to the schematics, the Zenfone 6 will have dual rear cameras placed horizontally in the middle of the back panel along with a traditional fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the camera module. The label also reveals that the Zenfone 6, like its predecessor, will come with 18W fast charging support. There are also two IMEI numbers suggesting that this phone will support dual-SIM slots.

Asus Zenfone 6 is said to come with a notch-less, hole-less edge-to-edge display. According to a recent AnTuTu listing, the smartphone would come with Android 9 Pie, Snapdragon 855 SoC with the Adreno 640 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of inbuilt storage.

A recent render also revealed the implementation of dual slider design on the smartphone. According to the renders, the smartphone will come with a dual-slider design that will allow it to hide features at the top and bottom of the display. The slider is shown to be manual which can be slid on the top and out of the bottom and can hide the selfie camera, front firing speakers and more.

Evan Blass, a reputed tipster, has shared the render on his Twitter profile claiming that it has been shared by an Asus Zenfone 5 engineer. The tipster says that the smartphone comes with 5G support and dual slider design but does not mention if the renders are that of Zenfone 6. Nevertheless, it seems safe to assume the renders are of Zenfone 6 given the company is currently working on releasing the device in a few months.
