Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2

Asus has announced that the Zenfone Max Pro M2 has started receiving Android 9.0 Pie in India. The update is now available for beta programme participants and is only recommended to the users who have experience with pre-release software. Since its beta update, the software might come with bugs and other issues. The stable Android 9.0 Pie update will come to Zenfone Max Pro M2 later, once the beta update has been tested and okayed. With the beta update, Asus is looking forward to receiving feedback from users in order to implement them with the stable update.

“ASUS unveils the Beta Power User Program giving access to early updates for feedback and testing so that the official Android Pie update is served as delicious and stable,” the company said in a statement.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 users who are interested in this update can head to the company’s website to test the beta update. In order to be eligible to test the update users will have to share their phone’s IMEI information, serial number, and current firmware details, says Asus. Interested users can submit their application on the website and if you get selected, the company will send you an email with details.

“Please keep in mind that this is a beta software program, the beta software updates are sometimes not as stable as our official Software Updates. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks,” Asus writes on its website.

The company has not provided the official changelog regarding the new features that will be coming with the update, nevertheless, users can expect features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, App Actions, and more.

Asus had recently released a stable software update for the Max Pro M2 which came with January security patch and advanced AI-scene detection.

In other news, Asus has announced OMG! Days as a celebration for selling more than 2 million smartphones in 2018. The sale will begin on Flipkart on February 6 and will last till February 9. During the sale the company will be offering various discounts and offers on its Max Pro M1, Zenfone Lite L1, Zenfone 5Z and other smartphones.
