The budget smartphone market is arguably the most popular and jam-packed segment in the smartphone industry. With almost every smartphone manufacturer focusing on launching their budget device to lure in more customers, there are a lot of options under the ₹10000 segment.

Having options at your disposal is always a good thing but it often becomes very confusing especially since all the phones under this segment look  the same and offer more or less the same specs.

Here’s a breakdown of the top devices under ₹10,000 to help you choose the best:

Samsung Galaxy M10

Samsung claimed that it is has launched the M-series keeping the millennials in mind. The M-series is compromised of two phones, M10 and M20. The M10 is priced at ₹7,990 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB variant, while the 3GB RAM + 32GB variant of the phone is priced at ₹8,990. Samsung Galaxy M10 will go on sale exclusively at Amazon starting February 5.

The M10 comes in with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with an Infinity V notch. Under the hood, the phone is powered by Exynos 78700 processor and carries a 3,400 mAh battery. In terms of optics, the phone comes with a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, the phone has a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

Redmi 6A

It is quite impossible to talk about budget devices and not include Xiaomi Redmi devices. Xiaomi has made its name in India for its budget-friendly and sturdy devices and The Redmi 6A is no exception. The phone comes with a 5.45-inch display with 1440 X 720 resolution begetting an 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Powered by 12nm Helio A22 processor, the device comes with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage with a base price of ₹5,999, while the 2GB+32GB variant is available at ₹6,999. The device is backed up by 3000 mAh battery.

Realme 2

Realme, since its launch as an Oppo sub-brand, has taken the budget smartphone market by storm. Helping the company with the hype is the company’s second smartphone since its inception, the Realme 2.

Realme 2 comes in two variants-3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. The 3GB variant is priced at ₹9,499 while the 4GB variant is available at ₹10,990.

The device is powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC and comes in with a 4,230 mAh battery. Realme 2 sports a 6.2-inch notched display with 88.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. At the camera front, the phone has 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear sensors and a 5-megapixel front shooter.

Honor 7C

Huawei too is treading the budget smartphone market with its sub-brand, Honor. The Honor 7C is the perfect example of a budget-friendly smartphone. Launched in May 2018, the phone bears a price tag of ₹9,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant. The phone comes with 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Honor 7C is powered by Snapdragon 450 processor. In terms of optics, the phone has dual camera setup compromising of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, the phone has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

Nokia 5.1 Plus

The name Nokia still commands trust and even after all these years so smartphone innovations, Nokia has managed to stay relevant. With a bunch of smartphone line-ups from Nokia, the 5.1 Plus is the most budget-friendly phone from the company. The Nokia 5.1 Plus is priced at ₹9,999. The device is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Nokia 5.1 Plus sports a  5.8-inch HD+ notched display with 1520 X 720 resolution. 

In terms of camera, the phone has a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor along with an 8-megapixel camera at the front. The phone is fueled with 3060 mAH battery.
