Boat Audio has made a name for itself through its range of affordable audio equipment including wireless speakers, headphones, earphones, cables, and chargers. The company puts out various audio devices over the year keeping affordability as a focus, and it has made Boat one of the most popular brand online.
The latest product from Boat is the Stone 650, which is priced at ₹1,800 on Amazon. The speaker comes as an addition to the Stone series from the company and is likely a successor to Stone 600.
The Stone 650 comes with IPX4 water and dust-resistance certification and features ‘diamond-studded mesh’ outer design. The speaker has a dual-driver setup, with two 5W speaker drivers laid out in a stereo setup. Other features on the speaker include a passive bass radiator, a claimed battery life of 7 hours on a full charge of the 1,800mAh battery, and multiple connectivity options.
For connectivity, users can connect the speaker with Bluetooth along with auxiliary cable or TF storage. The device charges through its Micro-USB port. The Stone 650 uses Bluetooth 4.2, with support for A2DP, AVRCP, and HFP. The device also includes a microphone that lets the Stone 650 enable hands-free calling. It also features various buttons that lets users control playback without needing to reach for the paired smartphone every time.
Boat has been launching various products in India lately. It also recently launched the Boat Stone 700A which comes with built-in Alexa support, at ₹3,199. Although the Boat 650 does not feature headline specs, it does offer stereo sound at under ₹2,000.
