Nokia-brand licensee HMD Global has launched the Nokia G series- Nokia G10 and Nokia G20. These smartphones belong to the budget segment of smartphone markets. Both smartphones are powered by MediaTek processors.

Nokia G10 features a triple-camera setup, while the Nokia G20 sports a quad-camera setup at the rear. The firm has also launched Nokia C-series and X-series.

Nokia G10 Specifications

Nokia G10 is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The storage on the device can be expanded via a microSD card up to 512GB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with a clean near-stock UI.

The device comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display has a waterdrop-style notch for the front camera, thin bezels on the sides, and a thicker bezel at the chin with the “NOKIA” branding.

As for the cameras, the phone comes with a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary camera, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shots. The camera comes with Night Mode and Portrait Mode. Upfront, an 8MP selfie snapper is placed under the notch.

The mobile phone carries a 5,000mAH battery with 10W charging. The company claims that the battery can last up to 3 days with a single full charge. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. The phone weighs 194 grams.

The Nokia G10 will be offered in two color shades- Dusk and Night. The pricing starts from EUR 139 (Rs. 12,300) for the base 3GB + 32GB storage. Another variant will be available with 4GB + 64GB storage, whose pricing is yet to be revealed. The device will hit certain markets from April-end.

Considering the price range, it will compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, which is powered by Snapdragon 678 SoC, Super AMOLED display, a 48MP quad-rear camera, and 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging, starting from Rs. 11,999.

Nokia G20 shares certain specifications with the younger sibling G10 like a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display and the same connectivity options including the dedicated Google Assistant button, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 3.5mm headphone jack. However, there are differences when it comes to processor and camera.

Nokia G20 is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, coupled with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with the same clean UI.

As for the cameras, the device sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and two 2MP sensors for depth and macro shots. The camera module is equipped with OZO Audio for better sound recording while video recording. Upfront, an 8MP sensor is placed under the waterdrop-style notch.

The device carries a 5,050mAH battery with 10W charging and weighs 197 grams.

The Nokia G20 will be available in two color options- Glacier and Night. The device starts from EUR 159 (Rs. 14,000) for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. There will be another model with a 4GB + 128GB storage configuration. It will be available in selected markets from May.

HMD Global is yet to reveal the Indian availability and pricing of both smartphones.
