IQOO is gearing up for launching its flagship IQOO 7 in India. IQOO launched its last smartphone- IQOO 3, in India last year. The launch was teased by IQOO’s India Head via a cryptic tweet. IQOO 7 has already been launched in China with a flagship Snapdragon 888 SoC and 120Hz AMOLED display.

IQOO India Head, Gagan Arora, took to his Twitter handle and shared a cryptic tweet.

The number “2.64575131106” is nothing but the square root of the number 7. This suggests that IQOO is all set to bring its flagship IQOO 7 to India. IQOO 7 was launched in China in January this year.

IQOO 7 Specifications

The IQOO 7 draws power from top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC built on a 5nm fabrication process, with Adreno 660 GPU. The Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with IQOO’s custom OriginOS on top.

IQOO 7

 IQOO 7 boasts a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 1,080×2,400 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display supports 300Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, and u to 1300 nits peak brightness. The display also carries the in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole at the center for the front camera.

IQOO 7 Camera Layout

As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone features a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture and OIS(Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS(Electronic Image Stabilization) support, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens sensor covering a 120-degree field-of-view, and another 13MP portrait lens with f/2.6 aperture, 2x optical zoom, and 20x digital zoom. Upfront, a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 selfie snapper is placed under the punch-hole.

The mobile phone carries a 4,500mAh battery with whopping 120W fast-charging support. The 120W fast-charging tech can reportedly fully charge a 4,500mAh battery in less than 20 minutes, which is pretty fast. The device comes with stereo-speakers with Hi-Fi audio and CS43131 amp, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth v5.2, and Wi-Fi 6.

IQOO 7 is offered in three colours in China- Blackland, Latent Blue, and White. The 8GB + 128GB storage variant costs CNY 3,798(Rs. 42,445) and the 12GB + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 4,198 (Rs 46,915).

There are no reports regarding the Indian pricing of the IQOO 7, however, considering the Chinese pricing, the smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs. 45,000. These are speculations and we have to wait for the official launch of the device to get the full details of the pricing.
