The end of Microsoft’s Windows phones is here: everything you need to know

It is a well-known fact that Windows phones are obsolete now and with the recent recommendation from Microsoft suggesting Windows phone users switch to Android or iOS as soon as possible has all but confirmed the démodé status of the Windows phones.

In a recent end-of-support FAQ page, Microsoft has asked Windows phone users to shift to Android or iOS soon. The FAQ page notes that the support will end on June 11, 2019, and “security updates, non-security hotfixes, free assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft” will end on December 10, 2019. In simple words, Microsoft has decided to cut all support for Windows phones.
