Its been just 11 months since Hero 8 was launched in the market, now GoPro has recently launched GoPro Hero 9 Black. It has a large number of new features and upgrades. The best one is the ability to shoot videos in 5K resolution compared to 4K on previous models.
The GoPro cam can also record videos in 4K, 2.7K, 1440p and 1080p resolutions. It can also capture up to 8x slow-mo or 240 fps. The GoPro Hero 9 Black has a front screen and GoPro has said that it will help to capture selfie angles. It has removable lens and the standard lens could be replaced by GoPro’s Max Lens which widens the Field of View to 155° and has better stabilization features.
Among upgraded features, one is the bump up of battery life by 30%. Upgrades have also been made to Timewarp and Hypersmooth, more live streaming options and Hindsight and the ability to capture 30 seconds before the user decides to press the shutter.
The GoPro Hero 9 Black has been priced at $449.99 (£429.99, AU$699.95). It is definitely more expensive than Hero 8 Black but the upgrades are the major reason for the increase in price. The camera comes with a 32GB memory card and can be purchased at a cheap rate with GoPro subscription that provides unlimited cloud storage and camera replacement service.
