Honor launched its latest smartphone, the Honor 10 Lite, in India today at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart and HiHonor store. The key specifications of the smartphone include 24-megapixel AI selfie camera, waterdrop notch, Kirin 710 SoC, and Android Pie out-of-the-box.
The Honor 10 Lite is the successor to Honor 9 Lite that was launched last year in India. Compared to its predecessor, the 10 Lite comes with major upgrades and features.
The phone is available in three variants: the base variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the other two variants compromise of 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage.
The 4GB variant will be available for ₹13,999, the 6GB/64GB variant will be available for ₹17,999 and lastly, the 6GB/128GB variant will bear a price tag of ₹19,999. The color option on the smartphone includes Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Sky Blue. The Sapphire Blue option comes with a gradient finish on the back.
The launch offers on the Honor 10 Lite includes Jio cashback worth ₹2000 and a ₹2800 Cleartrip voucher.
Honor has introduced the Honor 10 Lite with a bunch of features like AI shopping, Calorie detection, and AI-enhanced call functionality. While AI Shopping and Calorie Detection use the camera app to recognize clothes from brands and the number of calories in a particular food, the AI-enhanced call functionality delivers noise-free calls. The phone also comes packed with face authentication that lets users unlock their phones just by looking at it. The fingerprint sensor at the back of the device can also be used to click photos, making it convenient for selfie shooting. The smartphone also comes with pre-loaded Ride Mode or Party Mode.
The device is powered by Kirin 710 SoC coupled with 4GB and 6GB of RAM. It has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with waterdrop notch and a screen to body ratio of 91 percent.
In terms of optics, the phone packs a dual-camera setup on the back compromising of a 13-megapixel primary sensor(f/1.8) and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. On the front, the phone houses a 24-megapixels selfie shooter. The device is fueled by 3400 mAh non-removable battery that would last up to 24 hours, according to the company.
