Honor has unveiled Honor Tablet X7 in China. The new tablet is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor and features an 8-inch IPS panel. The tablet offers a pocket-friendly price range with a single color option. It is offered in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants.

Honor Tablet X7 Specifications

Honor Tablet X7 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek P22T (MT8768T) SoC clocked at 2.3GHz, coupled with IMG PowerVR GE8320-class GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be expanded further via a microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 10 out-of-the-box with Honor’s custom Magic UI 4.0 on top.

Coming to the display, the device features an 8-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The display has a peak brightness of 300 nits, 189ppi pixel density, and a screen-to-body ratio of 80-percent. It is certified by the Chinese National Eye Engineering Center for eye care, along with Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. The display has narrow bezels on the edges and slightly thicker bezels on the chin and forehead.

The tablet comes with a kids’ version that features education-based features and software for the academic growth of the kids. It also has an E-Book mode to reduce the strain on the eyes during prolonged reading sessions.

As for the cameras, the tablet sports a 5MP sensor at the rear, with autofocus, and a 2MP sensor at the front for video conferencing. It ships with a 5,100mAh battery with 10W fast charging. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, 4G (optional), GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.1, and a Micro-USB port for charging are on offer. It weighs 325 grams.

Honor Tablet X7 is offered in a single Dark Blue shade. It is priced at CNY 899 (Rs. 10,300) for the Wi-Fi variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, on the other hand, the LTE variant costs CNY 1,199 (Rs. 13,700) in China. The tablet is already up for grabs in China.

Considering the budget nature of the tablet, it will rival Lenovo Tab M10 HD, which is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 429 SoC and features a 10.1-inch IPS LCD panel, a 5MP sensor at the rear, and a 4,850mAh battery, priced at Rs. 10,684 for the LTE variant.
