Huawei has launched Huawei MateBook 16 in China. The laptop is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5000H CPU with an 84WHr battery. It has a sleek design language and an IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It is currently up for pre-orders in China.

Huawei MateBook 16 can be equipped with two CPU options- AMD Ryzen 7 5800H or AMD Ryzen 5 5600H, coupled with AMD Radeon Graphics. The CPU is backed by 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage. The laptop runs on Windows 10 OS. It allows multi-screen functionality that connects Huawei phones with the laptop.
Coming to the display, it features a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,520 x 1,680 pixels and a 90-percent screen-to-body ratio. The display has an aspect ratio of 3:2, a pixel density of 189ppi, and a peak brightness of 300nits. It comes with 100-percent sRGB coverage and 1.07 billion colors. It has super slim bezels on the edges.
The laptop packs an 84WHr battery with 135W fast charging support. The battery can provide 12.5 hours of local video playback. It has a full-sized backlit keyboard with a large touchpad. The fingerprint scanner is embossed upon the power button. A 720p HD webcam is hidden under one of the function keys on the keyboard.
MateBook 16 has dual speakers and dual microphones. Connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, HDMI, 3.5mm audio & mic combo jack. It weighs 1.99kg.
Huawei MateBook 16 Price
Huawei MateBook 16 is offered in two color options- Deep Space Gray and Haoyue Silver. It starts from CNY 6,299 (Rs.71,500) and is currently up for pre-orders. The laptop will officially hit the Chinese market on June 1. Details regarding the international availability of the laptop are yet to be revealed.
Considering the specs, it will rival ASUS VivoBook Pro 14, which is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5600H CPU with 16GB RAM and features a 90Hz 14-inch OLED display, 50WHr battery, and Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers, starting from CNY 4,599 (Rs. 52,500) in China.
