The Huawei CEO Richard Yu spoke about his plan, at the recent Mate 20 Pro launch where he confirmed the 5G nature of the company’s new foldable phone.

He said: “We are working on foldable phones. Foldable 5G phones.” While he didn’t say it in this sentence, rumors suggest the plan is to release the handset in 2019.
Huawei seems to have a lot going on in their company; the company has some tricks up their sleeve
The company has already launched some amazing smartphones in the past with features that astonished a lot of users around the technological realm. And, this time too, the company wishes to display acts of such charisma, to attend new & potential customers to their sale figures.

The company has also expressed a desire to be the first company to release a “truly foldable smartphone” early in 2019 with its Galaxy X, although this launch date keeps getting pushed back.
Samsung may have a tough competition in the upcoming future
The desired outcome from Samsung will be to launch the 2 features in 2 different and separate smartphones, one with 5G capabilities and the other one shall be a foldable one, whereas Huawei wishes for the 2 features in one.
The company’s developer conference, next week, may reveal more about its foldable phone plans.
The organization is expected to launch its foldable phone in early 2019 with Huawei’s phone also expected around that time.
