Its for sure that iPhone 13 will improve a lot over iPhone 12, but we have started to get a better idea of the major components that are in line for the performance boost and it looks as though the Wi-Fi chip might be one of them.

A team at the well-known industry analyst firm Barclays, through MacRumors, stated that iPhone 13 phones might come with Wi-Fi 6E capabilities. That’s one step ahead from the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard found on board in this year’s iPhones. Barclays has based its prediction on conversations with Apple hardware suppliers and it looks to be well-sourced. With these rumors, we all have to wait until the phone is official to know for sure what it is planning to bring to us.

As we might expect, Wi-Fi 6E provides faster data speeds and low latencies, which means faster access to web and less amount of interference from other devices when people are trying to get online. Augmented reality and virtual reality applications will surely get a boost.

Barclays analysts pointed out another iPhone SE that will appear in the next few months. An updated model has been rumored, it might not show up in the first half of 2021, according to those who have some information about the upcoming phones. Back in April 2020, Apple revealed the 2020 version of iPhone SE that has a 4.7-inch display. The word at Apple street is that an updated edition might come with a 5.5-inch or 6.1-inch screen for those who needed a bigger but affordable iPhone.

One more prominent Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has also gone on the record and stated that there will not be another iPhone SE model atleast till the 2nd half of 2021 and that fits in with what the team at Barclays is hearing. In terms of iPhone 13, it has been understood that it will be launched in September as has always been, after the delayed and staggered release of iPhone 12. 120Hz screens and improved camera zoom are being expected among the upgrades in 2021.
