iQoo has finally made a comeback to the Indian smartphone market with iQoo 7 and iQoo 7 Legend. The smartphones were first launched in China in March. iQoo 7 Legend is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, while iQoo 7 runs on Snapdragon 870 chipset. Both smartphones feature a triple-camera setup at the rear.

iQoo 7 Specifications

iQoo 7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G octa-core processor, paired with Adreno 650 GPU. The processor is backed by up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device comes with an extended RAM feature that allows the storage to be used like RAM for better performance. The smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box with iQoo custom OriginOS on top.

Coming to the display, the phone features a 6.62-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a 20:9 aspect ratio. iQoo claims that iQoo 7 comes with a dedicated chip for the display that will enhance the frame rate and display HDR content. An in-display fingerprint scanner is built into the AMOLED panel.

As for the camera, it sports a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 48MP Sony IMX598 primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens and OIS(Optical Image Stabilization), a 13MP sensor for ultra-wide-angle shots with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Upfront, a 16MP sensor is placed under the punch hole for selfies and video calls.

The mobile phone packs a 4,400mAh battery with 66W FlashCharge fast charging technology. It ships with graphite layers, along with liquid cooling, for thermal management and dual speakers with Hi-Res audio support. Connectivity options like 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The device weighs 196 grams.

If we take a closer look at the specifications, iQoo 7 is nothing but a rebranded version of iQoo Neo 5 launched in China a few weeks back.

iQoo 7 Price

iQoo 7 will be offered in two color options- Storm Black and Solid Ice Blue. It is priced at Rs. 31,990 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 33,990 and the top-of-the-line 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option costs Rs. 35,990 in India.

iQoo 7 will be available for pre-orders from May 1 on Amazon and iQoo’s official website. The company is yet to reveal the sale date.

Considering the price range, it will rival the recently launched Xiaomi Mi 11X, which is powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC and features a 120Hz E4 AMOLED panel, a 48MP triple-camera setup, and a 4,520mAh battery with fast charging, priced at Rs. 31,999 for the 8GB RAM variant.

iQoo 7 Legend Specifications

iQoo 7 Legend is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, coupled with Adreno 660 GPU. It comes with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone runs on Android 11 with OriginOS on top. The smartphone is designed in partnership with BMW M Motorsport racing.

iQoo 7 Legend features the same display, camera configuration, and connectivity options as the vanilla iQoo 7. However, iQoo 7 Legend variant packs a smaller 4,000mAh battery with 66W FlashCharge fast charging technology. It comes with a 4,096 square millimeter of a liquid cooling system, which the company claims, can reduce the temperature of the device by 14-degree. The device weighs 209 grams.

iQoo 7 Legend Price

iQoo 7 Legend is offered in a single Legendary color variant that features symbolic BMW M Motorsport stripes at the rear. It is priced at Rs. 39,990 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 43,990. Pre-orders for iQoo 7 Legend starts from May 1. The sale date has not been revealed by the company.

Considering the price, iQoo 7 Legend will compete with Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, which is powered by Snapdragon 888 5G SoC and features a 120Hz E4 AMOLED display, a 108MP triple-camera setup, and a 4,520mAh battery with fast charging, starting from Rs. 39,990.
