iQoo could launch another smartphone under the iQoo Neo5 lineup- iQoo Neo5 Youth Edition in China. iQoo Neo5 was launched in China in March. The new iQoo Neo5 Youth Edition, aka Vitality Edition, is supposed to be a rehashed version of last year’s iQoo Neo3 with small tweaks and is expected to arrive in May.

According to a report by TechnoSports, a Vivo device with model number V2118A was spotted on Google Play Console and China’s 3C certifications website. The Vivo phone is expected to be iQoo Neo5 Youth(Vitality Edition). These listings revealed certain specifications of the device.

The upcoming iQoo Neo5 Youth could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SoC, as revealed by Google Play listing. The processor is an improvement over last year’s iQoo Neo3, which draws power from a Snapdragon 865 processor. The listing also revealed that the processor is backed by 8GB RAM and the smartphone runs on Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Coming to the display, the listing discloses that iQoo Neo5 Youth will sport a Full-HD+ IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. The upgraded version is supposed to come with a higher refresh rate and is speculated to be 144Hz like the iQoo Neo3.

The Play Console listing also revealed the front display of the device and it comes with a punch-hole at the top right corner of the panel for the front camera. The volume controller and the power button are on the right side of the handset. The fingerprint scanner is integrated with the power button.

iQoo Neo5’s listing on China’s 3C certification website revealed the retail box will carry a 44W fast charger and the device ships with 5G connectivity. Other details regarding the battery size and camera configuration are yet to be revealed. We have to wait for an official statement from iQoo regarding the device.
