Jio is all set to increase the price of JioPhone by Rs.300 and now the smart feature phone will be sold for Rs.999 according to a report by 91Mobiles which cited offline retailers as the sources.

It is worth noting that JioPhone had been originally launched for Rs.699 in Diwali 2019.

Along with the increase in price, Jio is also said to bundle a mandatory Rs.125 prepaid recharge with the purchase of JioPhone which takes the effective price to Rs.1,124.

The report added that Jio will soon make an official announcement.

ET Telecom reported that Reliance Jio has launched three new annual prepaid plans for JioPhone feature phone users which provides upto 504GB data with unlimited on-net calling and have been priced at Rs.1001, Rs.1301 and Rs.1501.

The Rs.1001 plan provides 49GB 4G data with daily data limit of 150MB with unlimited Jio-to-Jio calling and FUP limit of 12000 minutes for Jio to non-Jio numbers along with 100 free SMS. It is also valid for 365 days.

The Rs.1301 plan provides 164GB 4G data with daily data limit of 500MB and unlimited Jio-to-Jio calling and FUP limit of 12000 minutes for Jio to non-Jio numbers along with 100 free SMS. It is also valid for 365 days.

The Rs.1501 plan provides 1.5GB of 504GB 4G data and unlimited Jio-to-Jio calling and FUP limit of 12000 minutes for Jio to non-Jio numbers along with 100 free SMS. It is also valid for 336 days.
