Jio Phone 2 runs KaiOS, while the Nokia 1 runs Android 8.1.

Camera Battery and Other

The Jio Phone 2 has a 2MP image camera at the back and on the front a VGA front camera. The Nokia 1 has a much better camera in 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies. Jio Phone 2 drinks power from a 2000mAh battery while the Nokia 1 is backed by a slightly bigger 2150mAh removable battery.

The Jio Phone 2 has options including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth with an added NFC option. Nokia 1 has similar options in Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3G, and 4G. Both the handsets come with a dual SIM support.

Design and Display

The Jiophone 2 changes its design from its predecessor and sports a QWERTY BlackBerry-like design and a 2.40-inch screen with 240×320 pixels resolution. The Nokia 1 comes with much larger and better 4.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 pixels by 854 pixels.

Pricing and Availability

The Jiophone 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 2,999 and will be up for sale starting August 15, 2018. It will be available in Black colour option only. Reliance Jio has a cashback offer on the purchase of the device along with 60GB data. The Nokia 1 price starts at Rs. 4,350 and is available in dark blue and red colours.

Conclusion

The Jiophone 2 and The Nokia 1 both are good phones in their price ranges. If you are looking for a phone in the range of Rs 5000, the Nokia 1 is a viable option. However, if you are looking for a cheaper phone to exploit data plans, the Jiophone 2 is a better option.
