This week encountered smartphone releases for every segment of the market, starting from pocket-friendly Lava Z2 Max and Realme C20A to premium level Asus ZenFone 8 series, along with mid-range Redmi Note 10S. Here is a list of smartphones launched this week.

Entry-level Lava Z2 Max launched with a 7-inch display

Lava made a comeback with pocket-friendly Lava Z2 Max in India. The smartphone is aimed at the students involved in online classes during these unprecedented times. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio A20 SoC and features a large 7-inch IPS panel. The mobile phone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary sensor and a massive 6,000mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 7,799 for the 2GB RAM variant.

Realme C20A released in Bangladesh with Helio G35

Realme C20A, a rebranded version of Realme C20 that launched earlier in India, was launched in Bangladesh. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel. The phone comes with a single camera at the rear as well as at the front. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, which Realme claims to last up to 43 days on a single full charge. It is priced at BDT 8,990 (Rs. 7,800) for the sole 2GB RAM variant.

Redmi Note 10S finally arrived in India, starts from Rs. 14,999

Redmi Note 10S joins the Redmi Note 10 series in India. The smartphone was first launched globally in March and is now available in India. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and features a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display. It sports a quad-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor and a 13MP selfie snapper under the punch-hole on the display. The mobile phone carries a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging and ships with an IP53-rating. It starts from Rs. 14,999 in India.

Vivo refreshed Vivo Y12s with Snapdragon 439

Vivo Y12s 2021 has been launched in Vietnam. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 439 SoC and features a 6.51-inch IPS panel with slim bezels on the edges. The phone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 13MP primary camera. It ships with a die-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging. It costs VND 3,290,000 (Rs. 10,500) in Vietnam.

Asus ZenFone 8, ZenFone 8 Flip announced

Asus launched the much-anticipated ZenFone 8 series- ZenFone 8 and ZenFone8 Flip. Both the smartphones are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G SoC and a Samsung AMOLED display. However, there are key differences between smartphones. ZenFone 8 Flip retains the ZenFone series trademark flip-camera module that carries a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor.

It features a 6.67-inch 90Hz display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and carries a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging. On the other hand, ZenFone 8 offers a compact form factor with a 5.9-inch 120Hz display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a dual-camera setup at the rear with a 64MP primary sensor. It carries a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging. ZenFone 8 series starts from EUR 599 (Rs. 53,200) in Europe. Indian availability of the smartphone series is yet to be revealed.
