LG G8 ThinQ leaks

LG‘s next-gen G-series smartphone, the G8 ThinQ, has been leaked in full glory. Earlier there had been various leaks in the form of render about the device and references to the specifications. Now, a set of high-quality images have made its way to the internet giving us a clear look at the G8’s design from all angles. The leaked images fall in line with some of the previous rumors about the device including dual-rear cameras, a dedicated Google Assistant button and notched display.

The fresh leaks of the device come from Evan Blass, who has a solid reputation in terms of smartphone leaks, The tipster tweeted the images of the upcoming smartphone with a caption that read “LG G8 ThinQ”, eliminating any doubt that one might have had about the identity of the device. Nevertheless, the hardware specifications of the smartphone are still a mystery as there was no mention of them on the leaked images. The images showcase LG G8 ThinQ in black color with a metal frame running along the sides.

The newly leaked images are nearly identical to another leaked photos of the LG G8 ThinQ that showcased the smartphone in Grey color but the same build, down to the placement of the camera module, buttons, and the fingerprint sensor.

IN terms of specifications, the LG G8 ThinQ has been confirmed by the company to come with a ToF (Time-of-Flight) technology-backed front camera for more accurate 3D facial recognition and better depth estimation for bokeh effects. The device is also speculated to come with 3,400mAh battery, nevertheless, there is no mention of fast charging support. Othe rumored specifications include a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC under the hood. As for the launch, LG is expected to unveil the LG G8 ThinQ alongside the LG V50 ThinQ 5G at an event scheduled for February 24, 2019, in Barcelona ahead of MWC 2019.
