LG has finally launched its triple camera flagship smartphone LG V40 ThinQ in the Indian market. After teasing the device for weeks, the South Korean company has made the V40 ThinQ exclusively available through Amazon.

The device was launched in the U.S in October laster year with a price tag of $900 and now it has made its way to India bearing a price worth ₹49,990. The V40 ThinQ is available in two colors–Grey and Blue.

With a price range that sets the device as a direct competition to the Oneplus 6T MacLaren edition, the key features of the device could be considered its camera performance. The V40 ThinQ has a triple camera module at the back with a 107-degree ultra wide lens, a telephoto lens capable of 2x optical zoom and a standard primary lens to aid the two specialized lenses.

Getting into the specifics of the optics, the primary camera on the device is a 12-megapixel unit with f/1.5 aperture and 1.4-micron pixel size. The camera also offers three-axis OIS as well as dual-pixel autofocus which lets users take great photos in low-light.

As for the other two lenses, one is a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f2.4 aperture coupled with auto-focus, phase-detection, and OIS. while the third camera on the device is a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.9 aperture.

All three of the cameras can record 4K videos at 60 fps and come with electronic image stabilization. LG has also included a triple shot feature which lets users click a photo with all three lenses simultaneously, creating a video or GIF. The cameras also come with AI assistance to help users take better shots of a scene.

The phone houses dual cameras at the front with an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The two lenses at the front are optimized to deliver good selfie images. The primary lens offers an 80-degree field of view while the second lens provides a 90-degree field of view.

Apart from the optics, the phone comes with a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED display with HDR 10 support and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

In terms of performance, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 6GB of RAM. LG offers a single storage variant with 128 GB internal storage. However, the phone comes with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The phone is fueled by 3330 mAh battery with Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 support. The V40 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with LG’s skin on top.

LG V40 ThinQ also offers IP68 water resistance and MIL-STD-810G certification.
