Microsoft has announced to launch its upcoming operate system versions once per year. The company has taken this step after October 2018 case of windows update where users reported massive bugs, data loss & system crash.
Key highlights of this major change are overall update process for minor new versions will be less disruptive, no bugs to the users for update more often. The major update will delay new features for the users as new operating system will come in yearly basis.
Now, Microsoft has adopted new approach for testing where in the Fast Ring phase, new operating system version will release and in the second phase developers can test the minor update for the system for bug fixes and system stability. It will only work for users running May 1903 and those upgrading to May 1903 or later will have to go through major update process once more. Currently, Microsoft is working on Windows 10 2003 rolling out in Spring 2020.
Windows insiders has now more time to work on minor version to enable compatibility and smooth performance into the users system. The new 2019 update will come in ordinary patches to reduce long setup process and need maximum single reboot. It is applicable for user currently running window 10 May 2019 update
