Microsoft has been working on a new affordable Surface Laptop. It has already appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking website. The listing has provided a few details about the upcoming laptop.

A report by Winfuture states that it would run on Intel Core i5-1035G1, which is a quad-core processor from the Ice Lake-U generation of Intel. It has eight threads, L3 cache of around 6MB and four Sunny Cove cores. Also, the chipset is based on 10nm process.

The Surface Laptop will be available on two SKUs – 8GB RAM and 16GB RAM. It would have 64GB storage capacity and reports say that there might be 256GB models. The report also stated that the laptop might be available in 8GB, 128GB/256GB and 16GB, 256GB SSD models.

A report by WindowsCentral says that Microsoft is working on an affordable Surface Laptop which is at present codenamed as Sparti. The device might be priced at around $600. The laptop would have a 12.5-inch display and Intel Core i5 processor. The base model will be having 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.

The features of the Surface Laptop would be almost equal to Microsoft’s Surface Go. The Surface Go would have a 10-inch display, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera and Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4415Y.

Microsoft has launched Surface Laptop 3 in the premium lineup. It comes in two display variants – 13.5-inch and 15-inch. It is available in 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4x RAM options. The 13.5-inch model would run on quad-core 10th gen Intel Core i5-1035G7 and 1065G7 processor. The 15-inch model would have AMD Ryzen 5 3580U and 7 3780U processor options. The current pricing of the Surface Laptop 3 is approximately Rs.1 lakh in India.
